8th Grade Parents—this is the last call for field trip forms for the Career Center field trip taking place this week. After tomorrow, April 10th forms will not be accepted.

Good afternoon. Today we had law enforcement complete a walkthrough of Wright Middle School with their canine unit. We are happy to say that we had a clear report. Thanks for your understanding as we prioritize the health and safety of our students.

This is a reminder that all Job Shadowing Permission Forms are due back to Mrs. McGaha no later than TOMORROW, Thursday, February 15th.
All 8th Grade “Panther for a Day Field Trip Forms are also due TOMORROW. Please be sure to encourage your 8th grader to take advantage of this wonderful opportunity in an effort to ease their transition to AHS in the fall.
We would also like to remind everyone that school will NOT be in session this Friday, February 16th and next week is our intersession week and WMS will be closed. Students will return to school on Monday, February 26th.

Just to clarify any confusion, the only school affected by the power outage at this time is Abbeville High School. Wright Middle School is operating on a normal schedule and will dismiss at regular time. Thank you and Go Wildcats!

Due to the timing of the inclement weather and the early dismissal, all after school activities are cancelled for this afternoon.
Due to the threat of inclement weather this afternoon, Wright Middle School will be dismissing from school early today. All bus riders will begin to dismiss at 10:45 this morning. All car riders will need to be picked up beginning at 10:50. Reminder that WMS will be closed Monday, January 15th and school will resume on Tuesday, January 16th. Have a safe long weekend and Go Wildcats.
Due to the anticipated high wind gusts of over 40 miles per hour forecasted for tomorrow, January 9th, Abbeville County School District will operate on an e-learning day. Student assignments will be posted to all of their classes Google Classroom by 8 AM tomorrow morning. If students need assistance from their teacher, office hours for teachers are from 10:00 -11:00 am and 1:30 - 2:30 pm. All after school activities for tomorrow afternoon are cancelled as well. Good afternoon WMS students and parents. This is a reminder that Friday, December 15 will be a half day of school. We will begin dismissing students around 10:45 AM to all buses and cars. We hope everyone has a very Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year!

This is just a reminder that Wright Middle School and all Abbeville County Schools are closed on tomorrow, October 13th. Students return Monday on a normal schedule.
We will have Spirit Week next week. The themed days will be--USA Monday, Rhyme Without Reason Tuesday, Wayback Wednesday, Pink Out Thursday, and Athlete vs Mathlete Friday. All Spirit Week Outfits must follow WMS Dress Code.

Intersession will be next week October 2nd through October 6th. There will be NO SCHOOL next week. All students will return to school on Monday, October 9, 2023. The school and office will be closed.
The Middle School Jamboree and C-Team Volleyball Games originally scheduled for tonight have been postponed.

We are very excited to welcome students back to Wright Middle School tomorrow morning. This is a reminder that the doors will be opened at 7:20 for all car riders to enter the building. The bell will ring at 7:50 and students will report to their home rooms at this time. All classes will begin at 8:00 AM. We are looking forward to an awesome first day of the 23-24 school year.
